Miss.LAKSHMI - Treasurer
Miss. Lakshmi now aged 77 years, lost her mother at a very early age. She and her only sister were brought up by her father. Lakshmi finished her Graduation at Queen Mary’s college and then Completed M.A.(economics) at Madras University.
Her Sister got married and settled now in U S but Lakshmi did not want to get married. As she had more desire to serve people she thought that marriage will be a hindrance to serve the old age and the young aged children.
After Masters Degree she joined Coimbatore Seva Nilayam and was in charge of one elementary school, one high school, one working women’s hostel and 200 destitute children.
In the year 1984 she joined KALASHETRA FOUNDATION as per the advice of Smt.Rukmani Arundale.
On 13th June, 2005 she joined Ganesa sankari Home - Chennai to support Smt. Sankari who was much younger and who was having a desire to serve the old at a time where the Nature has made herself and her two children as Orphans.
She is now by age may be 77 but she says she is much young when serving the 83’s and 93’s.
Of course the logic is right.
